BENUE APC HAILS THE APPOINTMENT OF IJOHOR AS SSG, GIVES CLARIFICATION ON THE CONDUCT OF WARDS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONGRESSES.

The State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress,APC, Benue state has hailed the appointment of Professor Tony Ijohor (SAN) as Secratary to the State Government (SSG) of Benue State, describing it as a square peg in the square hole.

In a meeting presided over by the State Deputy Chairman of the party, Professor J. T Orkaa, members of the SWC showered praises on Governor Samuel Ortom for carefully selecting a seasoned academic and lawyer who has distinguished himself in all spheres of life.

The SWC added that  with the quality of experience Prof. Ijohor has acquired in academic and judiciary, they are confident he will definitely make the party proud.

They (SWC) therefore call on the legal luminary to discharge his new assignment inline with the Gov. Ortom's administration which is anchored on trust, fairness, openness, accountability and fear of God.

In another development, the party has stated that it is yet to receive any secular from the National Secretariat of the party concerning the conduct of wards and local government congresses which is billed to hold tomorrow,  the 18th and Wednesday the 22nd of February, 2017 across the federation.

The party added that, it has written to the National Secretariat of the party, but it is yet to receive any reply or guideline about the conduct of the exercise in the state.

Considering the above scenario, the party wish to call on its teaming supporters across the state not to bother about going to their respective wards tomorrow, since the congress is not going to hold in the state.
