The Department of State Services on Wednesday captured former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, over security matters in the state.
The former governor was captured after the present Governor Samuel Ortom, professedly appealed to the DSS over the security circumstance in the state, as he (Suswam), was purportedly intending to make it ungovernable, reports Channels Television.
A source near the Governor who don’t want his name mentioned affirmed the arrest as well as the petition to Channels Television on Thursday.
The DSS had captured the former Governor in 2017, after it said it revealed a huge reserve of arms and ammo from a property supposedly belonging to him at number 44 Aguiyi Ironsi Way, Maitama-Abuja.
The DSS representative, Tony Opuiyo, said a year ago, the DSS had been informed that some implicating things were hidden in the boot of cars parked at the property.
