The CMD said that he got the news of his demise at around 9 p.m. while the match was still ongoing.
Mr Ogah said that a companion of the deceased reveal to him that Mr Ebirim began to act funnily and moving around uncontrollably during the match.
“Ebirim’s friend said that the deceased began moving suspiciously and requested for help which influenced him to intercede and took him (Ebirim) to the hospital
All efforts made to resuscitate him at our clinic was fruitless as he passed on but we would liaise with his family to direct a post-mortem examination.
“We are shocked at his passing since he worked at the hospital on Tuesdays. We need to hold up till we carry out an autopsy before drawing conclusions.
A companion of the deceased , who talked on the state of secrecy, said that he (Ebirim) lived in Owerri with his family and just went to FETHA on his duty days.
“He was a devoted and exuberant kindred who will clearly be missed by his family, companions and partners,” he said
