News are beginning to filter in as agrieved immediate past elected local government councils are threatening a showdown with the state Government over their unpaid grants and gratuities for over 8months. The immediate past elected council have not been paid their grants from December 2018 until their tenure elasped in June 2019 and 2 months after leaving office the story about their severance package is asorry one as stories from some quarters are revealing that the Governor confided in the immediate past head of the Bureau for Local for government and chieftaincy affairs, saying he used the money for his re-election bid.
