Osogbo Federal High Court has allowed a request of impeachment process commence against President Buhari by the National Assembly on the account of constitutional breaches.

Maureen Onyetenu presiding Judge gave the ex parte arrange on Wednesday, following a motion documented before her by the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, Ilesa branch, Mr. Kanmi Ajibola; and a human rights lawyer, Mr. Suleiman Adeniyi.

Maureen Onyetenu presiding Judge gave the ex parte arrange on Wednesday, following a motion documented before her by the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, Ilesa branch, Mr. Kanmi Ajibola; and a human rights lawyer, Mr. Suleiman Adeniyi.

The activists had, around three months back, kept in touch with the Senate and the House of Representatives to start prosecution process against the President, in view of the ceaseless killings and spending without legislative endorsement.

Nonetheless, the twosome moved toward the court looking for a request to urge the National Assembly to start the procedure following their refusal to impugn Buhari in light of the activists’ letters.

They claimed that the President did not have an endorsement to be qualified as a President and ought to be denounced in view of this and other affirmed impeachable offenses.

The judge, in her decision, ruled and grant the leave to urge the National Assembly to start the process of impeachment against the President.
