Fellow members of APC*
It is with a saddened heart that I write this morning on happenings in our party as it relates to my State – Imo State. With the release of the list of National Assembly candidates by INEC, we have confirmed substitution of names of those who won elections with those who neither participated nor won. This is bad for a progressive party and undemocratic.

<script type="text/javascript"> var pub_id ="PUB0865181"; var time = "30"; var amw_ad_width ="250"; var amw_ad_height = "250"; var ad_style = "11"; var div_id = "ad_content_250_250"; get_ad(pub_id,amw_ad_width,amw_ad_height,div_id,time,ad_style);</script><div id="ad_content_250_250"></div>

This action is also unjust and fraudulent when you one notes that the reasons for these substitutions were not stated clearly before sales of form as this can be likened to selling a raffle to win a Tesla and after sales of form and a raffle draw that produced known winners, the organisers then makes a U-turn to say that organisers will decide winners based on gender and past winners and not necessarily the current winners of the raffle draw.

While trying to come to terms with some of these injustices melted on our party men in Imo State, we are hearing rumours that there is plan to substitute before 2nd Nov, our gubernatorial candidate Ugwumba Uche Nwosu; a fellow young person that has empowered many youths and have won all the primaries actually conducted in our State. Sadly, the person they plan to use is one who just joined us few months ago and wasn’t there when they accused us, pioneer members of APC in Imo State, that we were supporting an Hausa, Yoruba and Muslim party in 2013 and even threatened to chase us out of Imo State if they win. To God be the glory that we won and grew the party in Imo State under the able leadership of Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

Let me state clearly that we as party faithfuls and young people in Imo State will not accept the substitution of our gubernatorial candidate. We can not labour all these years for the party and another person will come and bribe his way through like it was done in other non-progressive political parties. I call on the National Working Committee of our great party to do the right thing by restoring the mandate of the unjustly treated National Assembly candidates in Imo State and avoid the substitution of our gubernatorial candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu. This will be of benefit to our party and our apex leader, President Muhammadu Buhari as we will do more than we did during the indirect primaries in the main election. God bless you all and apologies to those here who have been disturbed by this outpouring of my heart.
