The All Progressives Congress (APC) has authoritatively responded to the rise of the Reformed APC as it said there is no group in the ruling party.
On Wednesday July 4, a group tended to a public interview in Abuja declaring itself as ‘Improved All Progressives Congress (APC)’
The party said it is currently the changed and “legitimate” group of the party.
The question and answer session was tended to by Buba Galadima, a previous secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), and Kawu Baraje, a previous Peoples Democratic Party leader who led a group of his party, called nPDP, into the APC in the development to 2015 electinos.
The party said individuals from the supposed nPDP, and outdated Legacy parties that framed the APC are its members.
As per Mr Galadima, this choice to form the group was on the grounds that APC had deceived Nigerians and its ongoing National Convention was undemocratic.
However, responding through an announcement on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, APC said the party was just devilishly endeavoring to make the impression of a factionalised party.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to confirm that there is no group in our party and proclaims the activity by these people as devilish and silly.
“This party has endeavored to make the feeling that our party is factionalised. This isn’t valid.”
The APC said it trusts the party turned to this “subterfuge” as a method for accomplishing the pre-decided end of causing perplexity having failed to “disrupt” the National Convention which it said was their initial plan.
The party likewise said it questions a portion of the people posing as leaders of the “supposed group” are real members from the party and it is right now examining their actual participation status inside the party.
The party likewise expressed that while it screens and investigates the advancements, it will take legal activities to protect its solidarity.
“While we will keep on monitoring improvements in this regard; we won’t dither to take legal activities to safeguard the solidarity of our party and ensure the sacredness of its identity.
“We are presently checking on the activity of this purported group keeping in mind the end goal to decide whether any part of the Party’s constitution has been ruptured with the intrigue of any of our members.”
