A yoruba actress and movie producer, Yetunde Akilapa, was today brought before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court accused of the break-in and taking of assets worth N7 million.

The on-screen character, 32, who lives at No.7, Oladelola St., Ketu region of Lagos, is standing preliminary on a three-tally verging on robbery and taking to which she argued not guilty

Police Prosecutor Benson Emuerhi told the court that the accused committed the offenses on June 27 at No. 14/16, Mutairu St., Shangisha, Ketu, a suburb of Lagos, at 2.10 p.m.

As indicated by him, the accused was caught while endeavoring to enter the flat of the complainant, Mr Adeboye Lamidi.

Lamidi charged that he was in his living room when he saw somebody was attempting to open the way to his condo with a key from outside. Akilapa utilized an alternate key to open the entryway of the complainant house however was caught in action

He stated, “l peeped through the entryway gap and l saw the accused attempting to open my door with a key.” The prosecutor likewise claimed that the accused on Nov. 16, 2015, at 3.00 p.m. broke into the house of Oyinlola Tuga by opening the entryway with an ace key.

Tuga, who lives at No. 39A, Ayodele Okeowo St., Gbagada Soluyi in Lagos, revealed that the accused stole adornments, packs and different resources worth N7 million. “Tuga claimed that subsequent to raising an alert that his home had been burgled, his neighbors disclosed to him that they saw the accused stopped her car with Registration no. MUS 689 CZ before the complainant’s home. “They stopped her and found the stolen things and a hundred cluster of keys on her. “The accused was captured and given over to the police at Ifako Police Station,” he said.

Akilapa came into the film business in 2013 and acted in a Yoruba film, “Ileri-Oluwa”, which brought her to the spotlight. The actress was to in the news for taking and breaking into individuals’ homes years back and has been on the police wanted list for as far back as three years.
