The new national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has said opponents stepped down for him themselves and not conditionally.
He made this expression on Saturday in Abuja at the party s national convention, saying that it was because of the trust his colleagues had for him that prompted development of him emerging unopposed.
Mr Oshiomhole was unopposed after a voice assertion by party members.
The gathering said 18 positions were unopposed and all were affirmed on Saturday.
“Barely days before today, the various candidates, decided individually,to step aside for me unconditionally. So to God be the Glory.” Mr Oshiomhole said.
As indicated by him, the activity was simple since individuals confided in him.
“At the point when people trust you, then half of the activity is finished. When you are allowed to initiate ideas, you can intercede with your inward differences, so the general population realize that you are their own and that you are not conflicting with them, there will be no doubt about who you need to utilize or the individual you make due with.
“Number two is that we need to guarantee the world democratic rule. We give individuals the voice by guaranteeing that party individuals and everyone talk about issues and at the national level, we have to challenge the political elites and the business elites to examine issues of the economy.”
